Ship inspection by drone offers a number of advantages over traditional inspection methods. Firstly, drones can access hard-to-reach areas that would cost much more in terms of time and money to erect scaffolding, cranes, or ropes. Another important advantage of drone ship inspection is safety over traditional methods, as both pilot and surveyor can see what the drone sees on a screen from the deck itself, without the need to take the slightest risk.
